With the EU support Business Management trainings were organized for winner beneficiaries of the first Rural Development grant competition in Khulo municipality
During the period of July 29 – August 1, trainings in business management were organized for the winners of the first Rural Development (RD) grant competition in Khulo Municipality. Trainings aimed to develop beneficiaries’ business management capacity. Trainings were conducted in different format – The first part was focused on individual consultations while the second part comprised general recommendations for business development. The trainings were conducted by PMC RC trainers Aleksander Mikeladze and Nino Khatisashvili.
In total, 25 beneficiaries attended the trainings. The meeting put the emphasis on the business management topics such as entrepreneurship, operational and project management, sources of finance, taxes and product value chain. Next business management trainings will be conducted in September 2019.
The training was organized in the framework of the EU funded project “Promotion of Rural Development and Diversification in Khulo Municipality” implemented by Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia (CCRG) in partnership with Croatian non-governmental organization HMRR and PMC Research Center, under the European Neighborhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD).
The EU is supporting agriculture and rural development in Georgia through its ENPARD Programme. The programme is implemented since 2013 with a total budget of EUR 179.5 million. The main goal of ENPARD is to reduce rural poverty in Georgia. The first phase of ENPARD in Georgia was focused on developing agricultural potential. The second and the third phases of ENPARD focus on creating economic opportunities for rural population beyond agricultural activities. More information on ENPARD is available at: www.enpard.ge.
