Delegation of the European Union to Georgia, together with partners, organized another fun and interesting day, this time in Kutaisi. On Sunday, 3 June 2018, the Kutaisi Central Park was transformed into “Eurovillage” for a day, taking all visitors on a journey to the European Union with fun activities throughout the day. The guests could meet various EU-funded development programmes and find out more about how the EU is helping create more opportunities for Georgian citizens.
Nino Tvalavadze, Deputy Mayor of Kutaisi and Mikolaj Bekasiak, Communications Officer at the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia officially opened the Europe Day event and visited the stands of the participants.
Several ENPARD beneficiaries from Imereti and Racha regions presented EU-funded agricultural products. Cooperatives “Natural Products of Racha” and “Lukhuni” from Ambrolauri, and “Tafli Sachino” from Vani offered guests high quality honey. Cooperatives “Winery Sazano” and “Terjola Wine” from Terjola, as well as cooperative “Jvarisa XXI” from Ambrolauri presented the best quality local wines. Besides, “Dzulukhi” brought hazelnuts from Vani. Cooperative “Imeruli” from Terjola delighted kids with locally produced ice-cream. “Zestafonuri” offered cheese for degustation, and “Chibati” from Lanchkhuti showcased its tea. Cooperative “Kalta Dzala” from Baghdati presented European sorts of berries grown in Imereti.
The Europe Day celebration will continue in June. Next stop will be Lagodekhi.
