Georgian Farmers Association (GFA) is positioned as an umbrella organization, which affiliates more than 600 members from which, some are major sub-sector civil society actors. GFA can play a major role in Public Private Partnership as it advocates on farmers and private sector needs. Through the help desk and call center GFA brings together the difficulties of the private sectors and negotiates on the issues with government and other stakeholders. The members and stakeholders use GFA’s diversity of services, including market researches, monthly reports, private sector needs assessment, capacity audit and others.
ENPARD project will built capacity of GFA to become an umbrella entity which will meet the needs of cooperatives in Georgia and can act on behalf of smallholder farmers.
