Georgian Rural Development Department of Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) in cooperation with its partner organizations is conducting informational meetings with women and youth in Akhalkalaki. The meetings are held in the framework of the EU-supported ENPARD project” Promoting a New Rural Development Approach in Akhalkalaki”. The information meetings were launched in June 2017 and will continue till the end of the year.
The goal of the meetings is to inform local communities, in particular women and youth, about ENPARD rural development project and to encourage their active engagement and participation.
The participants are informed about the European model of rural development, LEADER approach. To this end, the project’s international partner, West Cork Development Partnership (WCDP) shares Ireland’s 25 years experience. Different educational events for women and youth are scheduled that will be held in the upcoming months.
The EU supported project “Promoting a New Rural Development Approach in Akhalkalaki” is implemented by the Rural Development Department of Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) in partnership with Mercy Corps, Elva Community Engagement and West Cork Development Partnership under the ENPARD programme.
