On August, 25, 2019, at 14:00 pm, Khulo FEST will be organized in Khulo Municipality. The first part of the festival will include the fair of local products and services. At the same time, local folk groups will perform traditional dances and songs. The second part of the festival will host the performances of invited musical bands and DJ.
Visitors will be able to buy and taste various products produced by local farmers and small entrepreneurs. The festival will be led by an active and positive host. In parallel with the fair, local ensembles (“Argineti”, “Mermisi”, “Bermukha”,”Tsitsinatela”) will offer dancing and musical performances.
Various activities such as corn eating competition, quiz on Khulo, balloon fast bubbling and others will take place within the festival.
The second part of the festival will host the enjoyable musical performances of invited musical bands (FOURTH SEASON and ASEA SOOL). DJ ZaZa will close the event.
The event is conducted in the framework of the EU funded project implemented by Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia (CCRG) in partnership with Croatian non-governmental organization HMRR and PMC Research Center, under the European Neighborhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development – ENPARD II.
The EU is supporting agriculture and rural development in Georgia through its ENPARD Programme. The programme is implemented since 2013 with a total budget of EUR 179.5 million. The main goal of ENPARD is to reduce rural poverty in Georgia. The first phase of ENPARD in Georgia was focused on developing agricultural potential. The second and the third phases of ENPARD focus on creating economic opportunities for rural population beyond agricultural activities. More information on ENPARD is available at: www.enpard.ge.
