On 5-6 December, 2017, in Khulo, Croatian Rural Development Network (HMRR) conducted workshop for working group for Local Development Strategy(LDS).
The workshops were organized in the framework of the EU-funded project “Promotion of Rural Development and Diversification in Khulo Municipality” implemented by Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia under the European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD).
The objectives of the workshop were to deeply introduce LEADER approach, to start process of the development of Local Development Strategy, to introduce SWOT analysis, to strengthen knowledge and skills of future LAG animators -members of the working group.
Participants of the workshops were representatives of private, civil and public sectors who expressed their interest in involving of the working process for Local Development Strategy. There were 30 participants (8 women, 22 men) at the workshop. The workshop was conducted in interactive mode, participants review once more LEADER approach principles, they were introduced to key elements of LDS which are important for preparing of LDS, they were introduced to SWOT analysis and with the project team prepared action plan for future. At the workshop Q&A session was organized, during which the participants of the workshop received answers on all the questions. At the end, workshop evaluation was organized.
Croatian experts during their visit in Khulo with project team had a meeting with Khulo Municipality Mayor and depute Mayor. There was discussion on future partnership and ways of cooperation.
At upcoming meetings with assistance of project team working group will continue working on Local Development Strategy.
